I am a warm, genuine, encouraging person to meet with and I use various theoretical approaches to develop mutually agreed upon goals. My goal is partner with you to actively listen and guide and support you in navigating the twists and turns in life to create a path that encourages your optimal well-being. It’s a privilege to support at-risk adolescents, adults and couples as they move through challenging moments where they may feel isolated and alone. I help clients in their journey of self exploration and encourage the development of a balanced approach to their lives. By providing a safe, non-judgmental and truthful space, clients are able to explore their thoughts and feelings and develop a deeper understanding into their reactions and choices.

Experience

In addition to my work at Petaluma Family Therapy, I am a School Mental Health Coordinator at Social Advocates for Youth (SAY) coordinating the mental health services in 28 Sonoma County schools.

Prior to that, I worked as a School Mental Health Clinician for 8 years providing individual and group counseling to at-risk teens. I also worked with West County Community Service supporting youth and adults with physical, mental and cognitive disabilities to prepare for and obtain employment.

During my training, I worked at Family Service Agency of Sonoma County providing psychotherapy to children, adults and families in times of need. I co-led a court-mandated group for adults who have been arrested for domestic violence and other power and control issues helping them to find healthy ways to engage with others.

Therapeutic Orientation:

Some of the therapeutic approaches I use are: Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT, Family Systems, Narrative, Mindfulness and Trauma Informed Care.
